"Yes, I'm a big fan of this firm. They are very easy to work with and very reasonable in pricing considering the quality of work. Most of all, the people in this firm represent high moral character and ethical behavior which is most important to me. It is in their best interest to do so as they are involved in the community and rely on having a good reputation. He and his firm have never disappointed us. One very important thing to remember with working with any architect is that the better you know what you want and need, the better & cheaper it is to do business with an architect. Despite what one would think, you can't hire any architect firm and expect them to read your mind and have everything just perfect. You must be prepared before your first meetings and the better prepared you are the better they can fulfill your dreams. The FACTS: We did a huge expansion project and our fees to Boyd were only $1500. That is Awesome! We did our research and talked a lot up front (in the initial consultation) and only did 2 drawing revisions. The project was completed on time and on budget. No changes to the plans had to be made during the entire build because it was planned properly from the start.

If you are thinking about doing a project, go to as many houses you can and measure everything. Figure out, what size of closet is right for us, what size of baths, and every aspect you can to discover what you really want. Then the firm can take these inputs and make it a cohesive plan. Too many people go wrong when they try to do off the wall ideas that don't fit into the grand plan. They want tall doors when the ceilings are only 8 feet high etc... and then when it doesn't look right, they blame the architect or builder. Finally, it doesn't matter how much you spend, it matters how you spend it."

"We hired Bryant to design our Georgetown home while we were living in Belgium. Hence our initial communication was long distance by phone, Internet and mail. We communicated back and forth for six months before our return to the USA. Not a single problem despite the long distance relationship. Eventually we relocated to Georgetown and continued our planning on a face-to-face basis. At one point we had to stop for six months because of the stock market collapse in 2008. Again, not a problem. When we resumed, Bryant made the adjustments that we requested to make construction more affordable. After breaking ground with San Gabriel Construction (a high quality builder with integrity), Bryant continued to monitor progress on the home and work with the builder to resolve the inevitable issues that arise once construction is underway.
